Aerial Filming Case Study – Sunoco

  • April 29, 2016

Sunoco Logistics called and asked us to fly their Marcus Hook PA refinery.  They were in the middle of construction which was being held up by a possible endangered species birds nest on their dock.  We were tasked with strict regulations so as not to disturb the Falcon (if one was present) and provide concrete evidence of existing conditions.

We used the Canon 5DIII camera capturing RAW images to provide the best possible resolution. Once the flights were completed, photos were analyzed by Sunoco and the Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources.

The ability for our company to provide a TWIC certified crew for this project was extremely helpful to the client.  What is a TWIC Card?  TWIC stands for Transportation Worker Identification Credential and is a type of ID card issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for workers who require unescorted access to different secure areas of maritime facilities and certain sea vessels.
