Drone Lighting

Traditional lighting methods are often limited by terrain, access, or the time required to position lifts, cranes, or condors. Drone lighting offers a fast, flexible solution by placing powerful, controllable light exactly where your production needs it—without the logistical challenges of conventional equipment.

Whether illuminating a moving vehicle, creating realistic moonlight, enhancing large exterior sets, or providing soft overhead fill, our drone lighting systems give filmmakers complete creative freedom while significantly reducing setup time. By suspending high-output LED fixtures from professional drone platforms, we can position light where no traditional rig can reach.

Our drone lighting systems are ideal for:drone lighting rig rental

* Simulated moonlight
* Vehicle pursuit sequences
* Forest and wilderness locations
* Beaches, mountains, and remote terrain
* Large exterior sets
* Watercraft and marine filming
* Emergency response and disaster scenes
* Walking and running talent
* Dynamic moving key light
* Temporary overhead fill light

Instead of relocating lifts or repositioning condors between setups, the light simply flies to its next position—saving valuable production time while expanding creative possibilities.

Unlike fixed lighting towers or elevated platforms, drone lighting moves with the action. Our experienced pilots work closely with the Director of Photography and Gaffer to maintain consistent lighting on moving subjects, whether tracking vehicles, athletes, actors, or camera cars. The result is natural, cinematic illumination that appears to come from a stationary source while the light itself remains in motion.

Drone lighting offers creative flexibility while reducing the need for heavy equipment and lengthy repositioning.

* Rapid deployment
* Minimal footprint
* Ideal for remote locations
* No lifts or condors required
* Dynamic lighting for moving subjects
* Adjustable height and angle in real time
* Reduced setup and relocation time
* Safer access in difficult terrain

-## Designed for Production

Our drone lighting systems integrate seamlessly into professional filmmaking workflows and can be used alongside traditional lighting packages to expand creative options—not replace them.

Whether serving as a moving moonlight source, overhead ambience, or a dynamic key light, drone lighting allows productions to achieve shots that would otherwise require multiple lifts, cranes, or extensive rigging.

When your production requires lighting in locations where traditional equipment isn’t practical—or when creative flexibility is paramount—our drone lighting team delivers innovative solutions that keep your production moving.

Drone lighting options:

400W: High CRI, Daylight balanced. This light provides a very focused beam of light and uses 4x parabolic reflectors. Full DMX wireless dimming control.

800W Soft Light: High CRI, Daylight balanced. This light provides a very focused beam of light and uses 4x parabolic reflectors. Full DMX wireless dimming control.

1,600W LED hard mounted with parabolic reflectors, optimized for maximum overhead output.

All of our lights use high CRI, high quality LED chips and each unit is stabilized on our Freefly MõVI Pro to guarantee smooth light movement or perfectly static illumination. We have various lights from 16,000 to 126,000 lumens. Since this rig is mounted on our MōVI Pro, it can also be mounted on our Russian Arm and Black arm systems as well.
